Passaggio New Generation Chardonnay 2010
The most fun thing about Facebook, for me, has been finding old friends. We weren't kids who drifted apart. We were yanked apart when most of us, in turn, moved away during the sensitive pre-teen years. I never wanted to part from those young girls, I never quit missing them, but I wouldn't turn back the clock because that would negate all the people in my life now!
Still, "social networking" has put me back in touch with these girls, now women, and in all the best ways, nothing has changed. Our lives took very different paths, but our core codes and ethos are locked in. I've spent time with my very first best friend -- now as adults -- and although years pass sometimes without communication, when we've come together it's as if we never skipped a beat.
From what I know of the other ladies through the internet, same thing. It's really a wonder and a comfort.
Tom, on the other hand, sees his childhood friends all the time and he's married to me, his BFF! The constant, that's a wonder and a comfort, too.
What were we talking about? Oh yes, Passaggio! Ever and always delicious. A constant, a comfort, but time marches on and with time comes change. This wine is now bottled using corks! A few moments of anticipation to heighten the senses. It's going to be a good time. At $19, share it with best friends.
